Food Service At Base Camps

In Plaza de Mulas as well as in Plaza Argentina, our organisation offers a dining room service in comfortable tents, with tables, chairs, lighting, etc. Our cooks prepare menus from first quality products, easily digestible and with the caloric content necessary for activities in altitude ( such as meat, chicken,fresh fruits and vegetables, carbohydrates, bread, juices, etc. ).

Through our catering service the expeditioners save time otherwise devoted to shopping in Mendoza City and to the packing of foodstuffs to be transported on mules, to which must be added the extra cost of transport of the foodstuffs to the base camp.

Additionally, all the cooking process and subsequent washing up are spared. Also, and especially for large groups, it is avoided the transport, from their places of origin. of the structural tents necessary to provide minimum comfort to climbers at base camps.

You will also be able to hire structural tents (dining room or kitchen) with tables, chairs, cooker, gas, lighting, etc. BUT WITH NEITHER COOK NOR FOODSTUFFS ARE PROVIDED.

In other cases, foodstuffs are supplied at some of the base camps, but cooking is left to the expeditioners themselves. These two last options free the groups from the encumbrance of having to shop and pack and they additionally save the cost of hiring mules for transport.
